Dave Meltzer noted in Sunday’s Wrestling Observer daily update that Kota Ibushi remains with New Japan Pro Wrestling at this time and has not been fired.
Meltzer stated that NJPW and its parent company, Bushiroad, were not happy with the publicity brought forth by his comments last week when he fired off numerous posts on Twitter.
Ibushi said he was going to expose the “cheaters-gun and sexually harassing bosses.” He also posted multiple conversations between himself and New Japan higher up Yusuke Kikuchi.
Additionally, he shared conversations with Kikuchi over Ibushi returning from a shoulder injury he suffered in the G1 Climax Final last August. Kikuchi at one point suggested ending Ibushi’s contract.
Ibushi continued to be active on Twitter going into the weekend and lobbied some more accusations against New Japan.
