The Latest On When Sasha Banks Was Reportedly Released From WWE, More News

In an update on Sasha Banks’ status with WWE, Raj Giri is reporting that the former WWE Women’s Champion was released on June 10th. The release reportedly came from Erika Schreiber, VP of Business and Legal Affairs for Talent Relations.

As you know by now, WWE hasn’t made any official announcement on the matter. Despite this, nobody within the company is outright denying that she hasn’t been released. Giri noted that “leadership is trying to smooth things over” before making an official announcement.

While both Sasha Banks and Naomi are still listed on the internal roster, this would indeed be the case if WWE didn’t want the news to be out there just yet. And that seems to be what is happening here.

In other news, the Slime Cup on Nickelodeon drew 315,000 overnight viewers, with a 0.08 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This show featured WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella.

Carmella took to Twitter following Monday’s episode of RAW, commenting on how WWE has used her in past and how she’s always been able to rise above the occasion. She said,

“You can make me a manager, give me a guy without a chin, a dance break mid match, change my character, have me wear a mask, be a last minute replacement and I’m ALWAYS going to show up and show out. I rise to every occasion and you can’t take that away from me.”
