As noted, WWE is planning for Brock Lesnar defend the Universal Title against Roman Reigns in the main event of SummerSlam.
In an update, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that this is still the plan and that Lesnar has yet to be confirmed to appear at upcoming WWE events including SummerSlam.
“Lesnar at this point is not confirmed by Vince McMahon for Summerslam, or any dates for that matter, which is weird since he has the title.”
The SummerSlam pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, August 19, 2018 in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured.
