One of the matches that seemingly stole the show at WrestleMania 35 this past weekend, was the Falls Count Anywhere match between Shane McMahon and The Miz. McMahon won the contest after landing favorably on top of The Miz, who delivered a superplex to “Shane O’Mac” off the production area.
It was a great bout between the two, who had developed a very personal rivalry over on SmackDown Live. Shortly after the defeat, The Miz took to Instagram to comment on the loss. He revealed that he required staples in his head after the battle with McMahon. Here’s what he had to say:
“Sometimes winning isn’t defined by a 1,2,3. Last night at #Wrestlemania I whooped Shane all over @mlstadium Today I hurt, I’ve got staples in my head, my body aches but my heart is full knowing I made my dad proud. And there’s no win bigger than that.”
It remains to be seen if things between The Miz and McMahon are finally settled after their match at WrestleMania. Perhaps the situation will be addressed on tonight’s (Tues. April 9, 2019) episode of SmackDown Live.
