PWInsider has provided some new details surrounding what the originally planned finish for the Women’s Elimination Chamber was supposed to be.

As we saw at the event, Bianca Belair won the match by last eliminating Alexa Bliss with the K.O.D. to pick up the victory and will move on to challenge Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38.

The original match conclusion would’ve seen a double-pin scenario take place, with both Alexa Bliss and Bianca Belair being pinned with Belair getting her shoulder up at the last second. This angle was going to be done to add a little nugget of controversy surrounding the finish of the match and to also protect Bliss in her first match back since late 2021. However, the WWE creative team eventually decided to go with a simple, clean finish with Belair going over Bliss to make her look stronger as she moves to WrestleMania 38 to challenge Becky Lynch for the title.

Additionally, several people in the company were said to be “blown away” by the reaction to Lita at the show.

And finally, Liv Morgan’s ring gear was inspired by Britney Spears’ outfit in the “Oops!…I Did It Again” music video.
