WWE announced on Monday’s WWE RAW broadcast that Roman Reigns will face Kevin Owens at the upcoming Roadblock pay-per-view event. Reigns defeated Owens clean via pinfall at last weekend’s live events. Reigns’ US title was on the line in the live event matches. According to reports, the original plan for Monday’s WWE RAW broadcast was to have Owens vs. Reigns for the US title as well.
Also, the original plans were for the weekend live event matches to be title vs. title, but Stephanie McMahon ruled that only Reigns would have to defend. WWE changed this to a non-title match on RAW, with the stipulation that Reigns would face Owens for the Universal title if he won.
