At Triangle Derby I Championship Battle, reigning World Of STARDOM Champion Giulia defended her title against Maya Yukihi in a match that concluded with a double count-out.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the reason the World Of STARDOM Title match between Giulia and Maya Yukihi was booked with a double count-out finish was due to personal issues between the pair.
The issues go back to their days in Ice Ribbon where Yukihi was the Infinity champion and Giulia left to sign with STARDOM. The two women reportedly “can’t stand each other,” which is part of the reason this match even happened.
Although Giulia and Yukihi were both professional during the title match, a double count-out non-finish was the only way they would have agreed to it. It is possible that the finish could set up a rematch in the near future although that remains highly unlikely.
