During Sunday night’s Impact Wrestling Slammiversary pay-per-view event, “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated Ace Austin, Kenny King, Trey Miguel, Alex Zayne, and Andrew Everett to capture the X-Division Championship in an Ultimate X match.
Following his win, many fans noticed that the newly-crowned champion did not appear at Monday’s TV tapings and questioned whether he was injured.
According to a report from Pwinsider, Bailey is not injured and the reason why he didn’t appear at the TV tapings was simply due to the company’s creative plans going forward following Slammiversary.
