Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that the reason WWE isn’t bringing up Bobby Lashley’s previous run with the company is because of his relation to current United States President Donald Trump.
Trump selected Lashley to represent him in the Battle Of The Billionaires match against Vince McMahon and Umaga at WrestleMania 23 over 10 years ago. Despite this happening over a decade ago, WWE wants to avoid offending anyone by even possibly bringing up Trump’s name, as he’s a highly controversial figure in the country right now.
