Could an unlikely union mean a return to the ring for pro wrestling’s Great One, The Rock? Outside of a main event spot at WrestleMania against Roman Reigns – probably not. But Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter to respond to Matt Hardy and playfully suggested that he and The Hurricane, Shane Helms, could team up to take on the Hardys, Matt and Jeff, in tag team action.
Hardy was posting about a match against The Hurricane that took place 20 years ago, and his respect and love for Shane Helms. Another Twitter user pointed out that The Hurricane was undefeated against the People’s Champ, a thread that Hardy was quick to pick up on. Eventually, The Rock chimed in with his take about how a potential tag match might go down, stating, “My boys!! I co-sign what Matt said! Hurricane is the best. Let’s have a tag match for the titles. Me & Shane vs you & Jeff. Special guest referee… first name, Cham…last name, Pain. #bookthatshit” You can read the tweets below:

In all seriousness, @ShaneHelmsCom is one of the best wrestlers EVAH. People who get to pick his brain & sit under his learning tree as a producer are lucky, he’s a wrestling genius. https://t.co/zyCbeXQlPb
