Former WWE Champion The Rock has once again teased a return to the company following his role as the host of Super Bowl LVI.
Introducing the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, The Rock used some of his wrestling catchphrases, saying that ‘finally’ the Super Bowl has come back to Los Angeles, and mentioned “the millions” of fans watching around the world.
When asked by a fan on Twitter about these lines, The Brahma Bull confirmed that they were “Easter eggs” in nod to his WWE career, and promised that ‘The Millions’ line will be used again very soon.
brother that was a little “Easter egg” for you and the MILLIONS… 🤣🎤
Don’t worry…the MILLIONS with a *pause is coming soon…. 😉👊🏾— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) February 14, 2022
Many took this as The Rock teasing a return to WWE, as with the XFL still a year away from its relaunch, there’s little reason for the Brahma Bull to use this line, other than WWE.
It’s no secret that WWE has been trying to coax The Rock back, with plans for a WrestleMania 39 match with Roman Reigns rumored to be in the works.
Super Bowl 56 saw the LA Rams capture their first Super Bowl win, defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20.
