Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s new film, Skyscraper, had yet another disappointing weekend at the box office with a 56% drop, making $11 million.
The action-thriller, starring The Rock, was heavily promoted with numerous advertisements and mainstream media appearances from its top cast members.
The film has made $46.7 million domestically and $131.8 million worldwide. Although that may seem high to some, it is much less than Universal was hoping for. The film will likely wind up making around $75 million in the United States. It also likely won’t make a profit with its $125 million budget, plus tons of money spent in marketing all over the world.
