UPDATE x 3: Dixie Carter took to Twitter to address the reports of WWE buying TNA’s tape library while Billy Corgan had purchased the rest of the company as majority owner. Carter seemingly shot down the reports and also addressed the concerns over Hurricane Matthew approaching the Florida coast, posting:

As previously noted here on eWN, TNA has changed their TV taping schedule due to the Hurricane.

UPDATE x 2: It was reported yesterday that Dixie Carter met with TNA talent to discuss the issues with the company. The meeting reportedly alleviated some of the concerns from the talent, but many were still concerned where things may go after the company is done filming for the rest of the year.

Billy Corgan was not at the meeting. He was invited, but declined. Corgan not being at the meeting caused concern as the talent really respects him and feels that he is a straight shooter.

Carter remains TNA majority owner and did note at the meeting that there’s been a power struggle among some of the TNA owners at the meeting. Both Corgan and Carter have been in attendance at this week’s TV tapings.

Regarding the rumors in the original report (below), Dave Meltzer was asked, “Why doesn’t Dixie sell TNA to WWE and use the money with Corgan to start a new company?” Meltzer noted that WWE would not buy the company without a non-compete clause and that what WWE was offering was “very little.”

UPDATE: On the latest edition of The Ross Report, Jim Ross says that WWE was interested in buying only the video library, stating the following…

“Right now we hear that WWE and TNA have had talks regarding WWE buying the library, and that that deal is imminent.”

More fuel to the rumor fire…

ORIGINAL: TribLIVE’s Justin LaBar has posted the following on Twitter, discussing the future of TNA. LaBar claims he received information noting that WWE will be purchasing the TNA tape library, and that Billy Corgan will take over TNA as the new majority owner. Dave Meltzer was asked about the report, and said that he could not confirm it, but said that both parties were in play. At this time, consider this a rumor.
