The Young Bucks, Nick and Matt Jackson, will not take part in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s (NJPW) World Tag League tournament this year. The pair revealed the news recently on Twitter. None of the participants for the tournament have been announced, however, The Young Bucks have counted themselves out.

In a now-deleted Tweet, Nick Jackson revealed that they’ll be too busy to participate in the tournament and that NJPW doesn’t pay enough. Matt Jackson followed up with a Tweet of his own, saying that financial motivation isn’t the only reason they’re not participating. He simply doesn’t see the sense in leaving his family for nearly four weeks:

“Truthfully we were never even offered the tour. But yes, it wouldn’t make sense to leave our families for close to 4 weeks during the holidays for many reasons; finances only being one amongst many.”

This continues to fuel rumors indicating that The Young Bucks could be making a big move once their contracts with NJPW expire next year.
