For the first time ever, Ring of Honor heads to Austin Highway Event Center in San Antonio for a night of the Best Wrestling on the Planet! The ROH World Six Man Tag Team Championship is one of the most talked about titles in the world and the Kingdom have been the flag bearers. Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, and T.K. O’Ryan have issued an open challenge for any trio from around the world to challenge them for their World Championships. In San Antonio, the challenge will be answered!
ROH WORLD SIX MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
THE KINGDOM (MATT TAVEN, VINNY MARSEGLIA, AND TK O’RYAN) vs. WAR MACHINE (HANSON & ROWE) & JAX DANE
War Machine is coming off an incredibly successful tour of Japan where they competed in the World Tag League. In San Antonio, they answer the Kingdom’s open challenge when they team up with Texas’ own Jax Dane! Dane made an instant impact in his ROH debut at Survival of the Fittest and returns to ROH with an opportunity to capture gold.
Men of few words, Hanson, Rowe, and Dane have likely taken exception to the Kingdom’s actions, something Marseglia calls “doing whatever we want”. With a firm confidence bordering on cockiness well beyond their years, the Kingdom may be in the rare position of being underdogs in a title defense – Hanson, Rowe, and Dane are three of the strongest ROH stars and will look to use their hard hitting offense to leave Texas with championship gold around their waists!
But, the Kingdom should not be discounted. In their debut match, the Kingdom defeated the then-ROH World Champion Adam Cole and ROH World Tag Team Champions the Young Bucks before becoming the first-ever ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions in impressive fashion at Final Battle. The Kingdom, assembled in Matt Taven’s vision, has quickly established themselves as both blue chip prospects but also as stars of the present. They will be tested in San Antonio!
