— Alex Sindey sent this one in: Both the European TNA and IMPACT trademark applications by TNA Entertainment, LLC are still being opposed by both Aritzia LP and DATALOGIC AUTOMATION, INC. Both the applications have passed the cooling off period (the period given for all parties to come to an amicable agreement), and therefore a decision by the European Union trademark office is likely to happen this spring; all parties are now awaiting a hearing date at the European court. It will be interesting to see what happens, as Aritzia LP certainly have earlier rights on the initials “TNA” by advertising their TNA clothing brand on television since 1984. IMPACT it is not so clear on the historical use, but as DATALOGIC AUTOMATION, INC.s IMPACT products relate to Video production, they do have a reasonable argument.
