TNA World Heavyweight Championship Retired On This Week’s Impact Wrestling

On this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling, Impact/TNA World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage made the decision to retire the original TNA World Heavyweight Championship. The title design was first retired back in 2017, when TNA was rebranded to Impact Wrestling. It would remain in storage until Moose would bring the belt back at Rebellion 2020, where he would declare himself the new TNA Champion.

Cage would talk about the lineage of the title during his promo, but he would state that it was time for the attention to be drawn back on the Impact World Title belt. You can catch a clip from Christian Cage’s promo below:
