Former TNA X-Division and Tag Team Champion Ace Austin has officially parted ways with TNA Wrestling following the expiration of his contract.
While TNA did engage in negotiations with Austin regarding a new deal, both parties were ultimately unable to reach an agreement. His final appearance for the company is set to air on tonight’s episode of TNA iMPACT!, where he faces Mustafa Ali.
Former TNA executive Scott D’Amore acknowledged the departure in his latest column, stating that the split was mutual and amicable. He wrote,
“Nothing has been said publicly, but Ace Austin’s contract with TNA has come to term. Ace deciding to leave is amicable — he’s been there since he was barely out of his teens, and he’s ready to step up. I signed him, and everything he’s shown since confirms that Ace Austin becoming a massive star is, indeed, ‘inevitable.’ He’s ready for that next chapter. I think it is time Ace Austin goes all in on proving he’s one of the best.”
Austin, 28, joined TNA in 2019 and quickly made his mark as a dynamic performer in both singles and tag team competition, notably teaming with Chris Bey.
