Joe Hendry successfully retained the TNA World Championship at TNA Rebellion 2025, defeating Ethan Page and Frankie Kazarian in a hard-fought Triple Threat main event. Hendry sealed the victory by hitting the Standing Ovation chokeslam on Page for the win.
However, the celebration was short-lived. After the match, NXT Superstar Trick Williams blindsided Hendry, nailing him with a devastating spin kick followed by the Trick Shot knee strike. Trick then grabbed the TNA World Title, held it briefly, and threw it down onto Hendry’s fallen body, making a bold statement.
The tension between the two escalated further when Hendry interrupted Trick Williams during his face-off with NXT Champion Oba Femi on Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT.
Rebellion marked Hendry’s sixth successful defense of the TNA World Championship.
