At Friday night’s TNA Sacrifice 2025 pay-per-view event, Nic Nemeth turned on Matt Hardy, attacking him after the main event.
The match saw Nemeth, Hardy, Elijah, Joe Hendry, and Leon Slater defeat The System’s Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, JDC, and The Colons in a 10-man steel cage match. Matt Hardy secured the win by pinning JDC with a Twist of Fate. However, after the match, Nemeth attacked Hardy with a Danger Zone while Ryan Nemeth locked the cage door.
The two then continued to assault Hardy, preventing the babyfaces from entering the ring, and Nemeth dragged Hardy’s forehead across the cage until the show ended.
