Matt Hardy believes it is foolish for talent signed to one promotion to talk smack about another as they don’t know what the future may hold.
On a recent edition of his “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt shared his advice to the modern-day generation of wrestlers. He said,
“One thing I would say is learn how to not be overly opinionated when you’re talking about other promotions. Learn how to shut the hell up and just worry about what you’re doing, speak positively, and stop talking negatively about other places.”
Hardy argued that talent badmouthing promotions may come back to haunt them if they’re released and hope to work with the company they trashed.
Speaking about negativity online as a whole, Matt encouraged talent to “be better than that, be smarter than that” and to focus on the positives and what you enjoy.
Hardy’s comments come after WWE NXT’s Je’Von Evans and AEW’s Ricochet traded some barbs on Twitter. Evans has since deleted his posts.
