A reported backstage policy change in TNA appears to have been sparked by an in-ring exchange at the Under Siege event.

According to a report from Fightful Select, the shift stems from a moment during the match between Tessa Blanchard and Arianna Grace. During the bout, Blanchard slapped Grace, who quickly returned the gesture. While the interaction may have seemed like standard physicality, it reportedly led to internal discussions that prompted the new rule.

The day after Under Siege, a memo was issued to TNA talent informing them that any slaps performed during matches must now receive prior approval from a producer or agent. While the exact reasoning behind the decision hasn’t been made public, insiders say the Blanchard–Grace exchange was a direct catalyst.

Sources within TNA anticipate some form of public denial or downplaying from those involved, but multiple individuals familiar with the situation have confirmed that the new policy is indeed in effect.
