Former WWE Superstar CM Punk’s arrival in AEW is rumored to take place this Friday, August 20th on AEW Rampage on TNT at 10PM EST. As you’d expect, TNT is reportedly very excited to have CM Punk on AEW television, as having Punk on AEW’s roster is being viewed as a major game changer.
According to a report from Fightful, WarnerMedia and TNT are solidly behind CM Punk and are willing to have the network’s promotional machine behind him at full force in every way possible. One TNT source said that they were particularly excited about Punk’s debut tying in with the United Center, the Chicago Bulls, and the city of Chicago.
Again, Punk’s AEW debut is heavily rumored to take place this Friday on AEW Rampage, which takes place at the sold out United Center. There will be close to 21,000 fans in attendance for this event.
