Former WWE host and backstage interviewer Todd Pettengill has said in a recent interview that he would welcome a return to WWE.

Speaking on the That 90’s Wrestling Podcast, Pettengill had this to say:

“Yeah, I would love to do something with them [WWE], who knows what it is or how regularly it would be, but I would be open to all that, I think nostalgia is great, but I feel like you still have something new to offer, and you still feel on top of your game, you should do it. I still feel like I have something to say and I can add to it, If I was there just for “oh you remember that guy”, then I think it would wear thin, and that’s why you go back and you do one thing and you don’t come back, but you know to be able to do some voice work with them, and I’m a fan you know, so yeah I’m open to doing anything now.”

Pettengill first joined the then WWF in 1993, hosting the Saturday morning program WWF Mania. He would remain with the company for a few years in a part-time role, before leaving in 1997. His replacement was Michael Cole, who has been a staple of WWE for over two decades. Most recently, Pettengill has returned to the company for both NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2020 and NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021.
