Ring of Honor now has two authority figures who will serve on programming as the promotion’s ‘Board of Directors.’
During Sunday’s ROH TV tapings at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, Tony Khan announced that the board will have matchmaking and ruling powers and will consist of Stokely Hathaway and Jerry Lynn. Pwinsider is reporting that the positions are kayfabe. Lynn will be the babyface authority figure, while Hathaway will be the heel.
Tony Khan still has the ability to override the rulings of the board, but Hathaway and Lynn will be running the show without the AEW President.
Additionally, Fightful Select is reporting that Hathaway has been pushing for a new role in the company. As of this writing, there is no word on what will happen with Hathaway’s on-screen role in AEW. The Firm had originally been set to come to an end with The Firm Deletion match.
