ET Canada is reporting that Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth (Thor) will play WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan in an upcoming biopic for Netflix.
The movie will look at Hogan’s rise in the professional wrestling industry and the early days of Hulkamania. Hogan is serving as executive producer, as well as a consultant for the film. Hemsworth will also executive produce, along with director Todd Phillips and Bradley Cooper. Cooper is actually in talks to play Vince McMahon in McMahon’s biopic, ‘Pandemonium’.
McMahon’s biopic has been in the works for several years now. Eric Bischoff will help produce the film, as well as Hemsworth, per The Hollywood Reporter. Hogan’s film will not feature the latter years of his career, such as his first divorce with his first wife, his sex tape, and lawsuit against Gawker.
