Triple H is wasting no time settling into his dual roles as WWE’s head of both Talent Relations and Head of Creative.
All eyes from the wrestling world are on Nashville, TN this weekend for WWE’s annual SummerSlam pay-per-view event, as well as Ric Flair’s last match under the Starrcast banner. On the WWE front, a number of tryouts were held this week, and the former leader of DX was in attendance. At the conclusion of the tryouts, the former “King of Kings” spoke to the prospective talent, saying that he believed the “next big star” was among the group. He said,
“It’s not often you get to witness the future happening right in front of your eyes. Somewhere in this group of people is, potentially, the next Rock, the next John Cena, potentially the next Roman Reigns, potentially the next Becky Lynch, the next Bianca Belair.”
The tryouts took place ahead of tomorrow night’s premium live event. Many of the company’s top executives were in attendance for the tryouts, as well as main roster standouts Seth Rollins, Big E, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair.
Former eight-time NBA All-Star Dwight Howard was in the mix for those trying out, and he made an impression on the 14-time world champion. “Howard’s straight from the shadow realm. He came in here and flicked everyone like a booger, and it was amazing.”
Hunter would go on to praise all of the talent who appeared by stating, “The things you learned here, if you have a career in this, will last you your entire career. But from day one, everyone has been amazing.”
