The NXT TakeOver event in June has been confirmed.
Triple H did so during today’s pre-WWE NXT Takeover: New York conference call with the media. This is where he announced that the Takeover event will be on June 8th at the SJSU Event Center in San Jose, California. He was added that this will be a standalone event as no other WWE event is scheduled for that weekend.
“The SJSU Event Center is a place where, before we were even doing TakeOvers, we kind of did the first WrestleMania weekend event where we were just testing the waters and it sold out and became this epic event that really set the brand in motion. I’m really excited to go back there on June 8, separate from everything else. No other pay-per-views around it. And put on an event that is epic and say ‘Thank You’ to that location for getting us off to such a great start.”
The next event, NXT TakeOver: New York, takes place on Friday, April 5, 2019 in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center and will air on the WWE Network.
