Jay Briscoe, 38, passed away on Tuesday evening after a fatal car accident near his home in Laurel, Delaware.
The tributes continue to pour in for the late ROH World Tag Team Champion. Even WWE, a promotion Jay never wrestled for, acknowledged his untimely death on this week’s episode of NXT. On Wednesday, WWE’s Triple H took to Twitter to honor Briscoe. The Game wrote:
“An incredible performer who created a deep connection with wrestling fans across the globe. My condolences to the family and friends of Jay Briscoe.”
In March of 2022, The Briscoes were nominated to the Ring of Honor Hall of Fame.
