Last month former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann landed himself in some pretty hot water. After leaving an indie event with his wife, Vannarah Riggs (aka Su Yung), Swann was critiquing Riggs’ match and things got so heated that she decided to get out of the car while it was still in motion. Swann stopped the car and went to get his wife, forcing her back into the car via headlock. Swann was subsequently arrested for the incident.
Although Swann’s wife noted on social media that they seemed to have reconciled, there is still a chance his WWE career is in jeopardy. During a panel at the Television Critics Association Winter Tour event in California yesterday, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon had this to say on Swann’s WWE status:
Triple H:
“We are just waiting on legal,” Triple H said. “We have a zero tolerance policy on that, as you’ve seen, so he’s suspended until it is determined legally one way or the other.”
Stephanie:
“And if he’s convicted, he will be released.”
Triple H:
“Immediately.”
