Trish Stratus enjoyed a career in WWE most women could only dream of, but she wishes she’d stopped to ‘smell the roses.’

The former fitness model signed with the WWF in late 1999 and would debut on TV during the March 19, 2000 episode of Sunday Night Heat.

Reflecting on her career with “VIBE 105 Sports,” the seven-time WWE Women’s Champion shared what she’d tell her younger self. She said,

“Sometimes in this business, it moves so fast and it’s really a frenetic pace. Suddenly you’re famous, then you’re going at this pace, and you have 300 days.

“You’re on the road, you’re wrestling, you’re doing appearances. It’s so crazy. Stop and really smell the roses. It sounds so cliche to say but it goes by so quick, and really realize how special this is. I feel like there’s only a handful of people in the world who can do what we do, so recognize that, and really relish in it.”

Stratus will team with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Lita and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 39 to face Damage CTRL.

The match will be the Canadian legend’s first match since retiring against Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2019.
