Prior to Friday night’s WWE SmackDown TV tapings, the fans in Uncasville, Connecticut were treated to a dark match featuring WWE NXT 2.0 Superstars Tommaso Ciampa and Pete Dunne, which resulted in Ciampa picking up the win.
As of this writing, there is no word on if WWE has plans to call them up to the main roster.
As many of you saw during Tuesday night’s NXT New Year’s Evil event, Ciampa lost the NXT Championship to Bron Breakker. Dunne is currently in the middle of a feud with Tony D’Angelo. The two men will be facing off against each other next week.
