As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, The Undertaker has been heavily rumored to be facing John Cena at WrestleMania 34 this year. For what it’s worth, The Undertaker recently attended a mayoral campaign event for WWE Superstar Kane. During the event, fans were apparently asking The Undertaker about him making a return, and The Undertaker was reportedly downplaying the idea in response.
Mike Johnson said the following regarding ‘Taker appearece at the event: “Yesterday he did a signing in Knox County Tennessee with Kane to help promote Glenn Jacobs for mayor. Apparently, Kane and The Undertaker are close. There are some fans asking him about returning and why he could very well have been working them. He kind of gave the impression of ‘don’t hold your breath, don’t wait for that one,’ but we will see. If I was The Undertaker and I was returning certainly I would want to keep the mystique and aura going.”
He made his last WWE TV appearance at the RAW 25th anniversary show in New York City in January. WWE has not yet announced or confirmed him having a match at WrestleMania 34 yet, which is scheduled for April 8 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
