According to a report by POST Wrestling, the schedule for WWE’s television tapings for next week has been changed. Due to the number of WWE talent and staff testing positive for COVID-19 recently, this forced WWE to switch gears on how to produce their next wave of TV tapings.
WWE taped yesterday’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown on Friday afternoon, relying heavily on The Undertaker’s tribute special, interviews from WWE Superstars, Legends, and a showing of The Undertaker’s last match against AJ Styles from WrestleMania 36. Originally, the company had planned to tape approximately two episodes of Monday Night RAW and SmackDown yesterday, but that obviously did not happen.
Below is the revised schedule plan for WWE’s television taping schedule:
* Wednesday, July 1st – WWE will tape the two Great American Bash episodes of NXT, which will air on July 1 and 8.
* Thursday, July 2nd — The plan is to film two episodes of SmackDown and 205 Live, which will then air on July 10 and July 17.
* Friday, July 3rd – WWE will tape two episodes of Monday Night Raw, Main Event, and Raw Talk, which are slated to air on July 6 and 13.
