Update: Columbus Police Department Looking Into Marty Jannetty Murder Claims

UPDATE: We reported earlier today here on eWn that Marty Jannetty made some bizarre claims on Facebook about making someone “disappear” when he was 13 years old. According to TMZ, the Columbus Police Department in Georgia is now looking into the claim.

A Columbus PD spokesperson for the homicide/cold case division said, “The first step will be seeing if we have any missing persons or unidentified remains cases that match the limited information in the post.”

The spokesperson also noted that their department has “several current active homicide investigations underway and they will have to remain the priority.” Due to this, the issue of looking into Jannetty’s matter will not be an “all hands on deck situation” for now.

As of this writing, Jannetty has yet to issue any statement and has deleted his previous posts regarding the situation.

ORIGINAL: Marty Jannetty posted a story on his Facebook about when he was 13, when he bought marijuana from a man that he referred to with a homophobic slur. The man allegedly tried to drag a young Jannetty around the back of a bowling alley where he was working. This is when Jannetty apparently made a man “disappear” for the first time.

“I never told no one this, even my brother Geno.. cause Geno would’ve killed him, and I didn’t want my brother gone,, hell he’d only recently came home from Vietnam. I was 13, working at Victory Lanes bowling alley buying weed from a f*g that worked there… and he put his hands on me.. he dragged me around to the back of the building.. you already know what he was gonna try to do.

That was the very first time I made a man disappear.. they never found him.. they shoulda looked in the Chattahoochee River.. but Winnie (the girl in these pics) I likes you do damn much, probably my favorite.. but I promised myself way back then, nobody would ever hurt me again… that includes you… I loved you but you hurt me with your f*ckin Jamaican jealously.. you can go your own way, I don’t need you.”

Marty Jannetty also followed this up by saying that he got “satisfaction” from it. We will provide an update to this story later as it develops.
