According to a report from Fightful Select, Brian Cage’s current contract was set to expire, and although the company had hoped to extend his deal, Cage is reportedly looking to explore free agency. Despite his newfound aspirations, Cage will continue to do business with AEW through the end of this month, which will include ROH Supercard of Honor.
WWE has kept a close eye on Cage and is open to having conversations with him. The 39-year-old’s contract was initially set to expire between late January and early February. Fightful added that some big names in AEW, such as Chris Jericho, have expressed their hopes that Cage would re-sign with the company.
