Davey Boy Smith Jr. previously confirmed he had talks with WWE about a return that would see him work for NXT UK. WWE had been interested previously, but he was under contract with MLW, which ended last year.
Smith has signed with WWE. Pwinsider.com reported today that he “was signed as early as this past March, but he and WWE kept the signing quiet until the timing was right for him to officially return to the company.”
Smith returned to WWE for a dark tag team match on Friday at SmackDown.
