In the new Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports the following update about Marty Scurll and his status with Ring Of Honor, noting that there’s nothing booked for “The Villain.”

Marty was the only member of The Elite to not make the jump over to All Elite Wrestling, instead, he chose to sign with Ring Of Honor:

“Thus far announced for Final Battle is Rush vs. PCO for the ROH title, Mark & Jay Briscoe vs. Jay Lethal & Jonathan Gresham for the tag titles, Shane Taylor vs. Dragon Lee for the TV title, Mark Haskins vs. Bully Ray in a street fight, Matt Taven vs. Vincent and Angelina Love vs. Maria Manic. It’s notable that nothing has been announced for Jeff Cobb, Scurll, Bandido and Brody King, who all have deals expiring soon. Even though attendance is at a real low point these days, ROH is throwing big money offers around to at least some of those guys and others with the idea of making a splash in 2020.”

Meltzer also feels Adam Page’s storyline on BTE this week was the first tease of Marty in AEW:

Page lost to Pac and indicating he was quitting The Elite saying he’s tired of being the least successful guy in the group. He then went home and turned around a photo in his house which was of he, the Young Bucks and Marty Scurll, which is the first tease of Scurll.”
