Last night on SmackDown, we saw Finn Balor make his move over to the blue brand along with his Intercontinental Championship. As it stands right now this would leave Monday Night without a midcard championship because, for all intents and purposes, Samoa Joe is still on SmackDown as well.
However, according to the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio show, Dave Meltzer reported that Joe is actually slated to be on the Monday Night Raw brand and wasn’t able to attend Monday’s show.
There is another wrinkle to this. On Sunday, during The Shield’s Final Chapter special on WWE Network, Finn Balor is set to defend the Intercontinental Championship against new Monday Night Raw Superstar Andrade. Should Andrade win, there would be no need for Samoa Joe to junmp brands. It will be interesting to see where the pieces fall into place here.
