SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon made his return to WWE TV this past Tuesday. Shane was part of SmackDown 1000’s opening segment. Shane, Vince, and Stephanie McMahon were all guests on R-Truth and Carmella’s “Truth TV.” The segment ended up being a big dance party with all five dancing in the ring.
PWInsider is reporting that Shane’s return on Tuesday was meant to be his reintroduction back into regular company storylines. Shane hadn’t appeared on WWE TV in several months. General Manager Paige had been running the show herself since.
Shane will reportedly be a regular character on SmackDown in the coming weeks. The timing is interesting given that Survivor Series is right around the corner. McMahon still competes semi-regularly inside the ring and captained Team SmackDown last year at Survivor Series.
It’s possible Shane could be involved in a Survivor Series match this year as well. We’ll keep you updated.
