Nick Wayne was originally supposed to wrestle at The WRLD On GCW event as part of the scramble match, but he was not featured on the card. The reason for this is due to his age.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported today that due to being 17, Wayne was not cleared to wrestle by the New York State Athletic Commission. It was also noted that an indie show in Rochester, NY received a fine for booking Jon Huber’s son Brodie to do a simple run in.
A loophole could have allowed Wayne to work the event, as since 2018 pro wrestling is not considered a combat sport anymore, but GCW would have had to appeal in time.
GCW will however still likely be fined as there was alcohol consumption in the ring after the main event.
