We received word that a fan who attended the recent set of NXT television tapings tested positive for COVID-19.

The fan who tested positive went on to personally contact the Wrestling Observer, telling the website that he caught the virus while attending Disney World, not NXT. He claims that he went to Disney World on November 18th, then the NXT taping the following day on November 19th. He skipped the following week’s episode for November 25th and wanted to attend the December 2nd taping but didn’t due coming down with COVID-19 symptoms after getting tested on December 1st.

He said that everyone who attended the pod on November 19th were tested that day and the tests came back negative for everyone. Having said that, this is why he believes he caught the virus at Disney as opposed to getting it during the NXT taping. At Disney, he says during the lines for the indoor attractions, people were removing their masks.

WWE is currently allowing up to 100 fans to attend the NXT tapings at the Capital Wrestling Center (Performance Center).
