WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg will challenge WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble. It was set up on Monday’s Raw.
It appeared that WWE was teasing a Universal title matchup between Goldberg and Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37.
Dave Meltzer talked about this during the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. WWE officials made the sudden decision on Saturday to booked Goldberg against McIntyre because there was no one else ready to challenge McIntyre at Royal Rumble.
