The second season of WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge has just wrapped, as the finals will be held at this weekend’s Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view (PPV). The MMC is the reason WWE had to move 205 Live to Wednesdays, as WWE’s deal with Facebook Watch states they must present the MMC live after SmackDown.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has decided to keep taping 205 Live before SmackDown Live, and airing it on Wednesdays for the rest of the year. As for the show’s timeslot in 2019, a decision has yet to be made. Viewership first increased when 205 Live was moved to Wednesday, but it has now dropped to a very low point.
It will be interesting to see what WWE decides to do with 205 Live next year.
