Update – Teddy Hart Charged With Strangulation Resulting in Wounding/Bodily Harm


UPDATE: Teddy Hart was charged on Friday after a domestic incident with Maria Manic. Police arrested Hart after indy wrestler Ace Montana posted a video on Facebook (see below), revealing that Hart had assaulted his girlfriend.

In the police report, Manic is identified as the victim. Teddy Hart was charged with strangulation resulting in wounding/bodily harm in a hearing that was held Friday morning in Richmond, Virginia. According to jail records, the charge is a class 6 felony. Hart is facing 1-5 years in prison and a fine of up to $2,500. He’ll remain in jail until at least his next court date, which is scheduled for April 22nd at 2:15PM EST.


Friday’s arrest marks Teddy Hart’s third in the last six weeks.

ORIGINAL: According to the Richmond County Jail, Teddy Hart has been arrested again. He was booked into the jail at 1:15 PM EST today and has a court date (arraignment) scheduled for tomorrow morning at 8:45 AM EST.

Teddy Hart (Edward Ellsworth Annis) was also arrested back in February on three counts of possession, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, and possession with intent to sell and distribute. He was released on March 18th and was set to face an April court date.

Hart was recently involved in an altercation with independent wrestler Ace Montana. Montana claimed Hart attacked his girlfriend, ROH wrestler Maria Manic. Montana said,

“I literally had to pull my gun on #Teddyhart and throw him out of my friends house. This piece of **** literally choked out and physically assaulted Maria Manic and would not let her get help. she texted me I’m in danger never ever did I think I would meet a piece of shit like this guy who has now been arrested with a felony against him. I don’t think this guy knew how close to death he was. #f***youteddyheart This video is me kick him out before the cops came and arrested him.
