According to a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there have been rumors going around that WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could be appearing at WrestleMania 36. Fury comes off a dominant win over Deontay Wilder, who he TKO’d to capture the WBC heavyweight strap, handing “The Bronze Bomber” the first loss of his boxing career.
After Fury’s win, there have been talks for “The Gypsy King” to make a WrestleMania appearance, but there’s no word on what the match would be. WWE Intercontinental Champion Braun Strowman, who Fury defeated at Crown Jewel before, has teased the match. If that does go down, it will be for Strowman’s Intercontinental Title. Another aspect to look at is Fury’s asking price for an appearance.
Coming off such a high-profile and dominant victory, he’ll likely ask for a higher appearance fee from WWE for a potential match. At this point it will be a matter of whether or not WWE sees Fury as worth the multi-millions they’ll have to spend to get him back in the ring, hoping for an increase in Network subscriptions. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
