According to a report from Fightful, AEW star Joey Janela confirmed in an interview that his current contract with AEW will expire in May.
One of the first signings of AEW back in 2019, “The Bad Boy” said that he enjoys being in AEW and he would like to stay. He also noted that he’s hoping to be a bridge between AEW and Gamechanger Wrestling (GCW).
Janela initially participated in some AEW pay-per-view events, but during the pandemic his status in the company became lower and he is almost exclusively featured on Dark shows.
