Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has re-entered the USADA drug-testing pool following his appearance at UFC 226 last Saturday night.

By being back in the pool, he will have to wait another six months in order to fight under the UFC banner and will be able to compete in early January against UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

USADA issued the following statement:

“After receiving notice of his intent to compete in the UFC, USADA re-entered Brock Lesnar to the testing pool on July 3,” USADA officials said in a statement. “With six months and four days remaining on his period of ineligibility, Lesnar will be able to compete on or after January 8, 2019, should he remain in compliance with the UFC Anti-Doping Policy.”
