Various Backstage News From MLW’s Kings Of Colosseum Show


A new report from Fightful Select has shared various details coming out of MLW’s recent sold out ‘Kings of Collosseum’ show.

Firstly, it was noted that Jacob Fatu’s new incarnation of the Samoan SWAT team are set to be on the receiving end of a “big push.” Fatu is to be joined by both Juicy Finau and Lance Anoa’i in the team. Samu of the original Samoan SWAT team was at the show to give the new group his blessing to use the name. During the show, Enzo Amore (nZo) began a feud with Fatu.

On the merchandise side, it was noted that Microman’s merch reportedly sold excellently at the show. Additionally, MLW are said to be very happy with MLW World Champion Alex Hammerstone’s merchandise sales at the show. Hammerstone is set to head on a tour of Europe this fall, with several title defenses lined up. Some of these matches will air on MLW: Fusion.

Alex Kane has recently been getting a big push in MLW and is now reportedly set to feud with Davey Richards. Their feud began at the tapings. It was noted Richards’ appearance at the show saw him drive from St. Louis to Chicago so he could have a medical exam as he’s currently in med school. Richards then had to fly to Philadelphia to wrestle just two hours later.

Finally, with regards to new talents, Joel and Jose Maximo had a tryout at the show. Lince Dorado also made his debut for the company but is yet to sign with them. He has however, committed to appearing for the company in New York City next month.
