In February, MLW’s lawsuit against WWE was dismissed by the Honorable Court, and it was held that Court Bauer’s company had failed to make a sufficient argument to back up its claims of a relevant antitrust product market.
Last year, MLW filed a lawsuit against WWE on grounds of malicious interference with their contracts and business prospects. WWE had allegedly forced third parties to abandon agreements and prospective relationships with MLW. WWE was further accused of compelling the end of MLW’s negotiations with VICE TV in 2021.
Pwinsider is reporting that MLW has not yet filed an amended lawsuit following the dismissal of their original case. At the time of the dismissal, MLW owner Court Bauer had claimed that MLW’s “legal team is already at work on amending the complaint. We have every intention to continue pursuing our case against WWE.”
MLW War Chamber 2023 will be taking place on April 6th at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City. The promotion will then host another show on April 8th at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
